These are the few animes that you just have to watch!1. Steins GateSummary:- Steins;Gate is about a group of friends who have customized their microwave into a device that can send text messages to the past. As they perform different experiments, an organization named SERN, who has been doing their own research on time travel, tracks them down and now the characters have to find a way to avoid being captured by them.Read more at

If you are a ardent anime fan then you must have at the very least heard of Steins Gate. If you haven't then you need to watch STAT!! There are only a few animes that i truly enjoy and love and Steins Gate is one of them.It has everything any anime fan could ask for nice art, interesting and non cliched characters, truly funny punch lines and of course, THE MOST engaging, exciting, heart wrenching, mind boggling storyline of all time!! Normally most animes would have your classic fan service but not Steins Gate. The other amazing thing about Steins Gate is that even though the hero isn't your usual super good looking hero, the more you watch, the more you get to like him and honestly admire him. Basically i don't think i will find another anime that can rival Steins Gate anytime in the near future. STEINS GATE EARNS INFINITE STARS FROM ME.

2. Ano hi Mita Hana no Namae o Bokutachi wa Mada Shiranai(a.k.a Ano Hana)Jinta Yadomi and his group of childhood friends have become estranged after a tragic accident split them apart. Now in their high school years, a sudden surprise forces each of them to confront their guilt over what happened that day and come to terms with the ghosts of their past. Read more at

Ano Hana has got to be the best and saddest tear jerkers of all time, second only "maybe" to Clannad. They have great art and a superb story and it's ONLY..... 11 EPISODES! I have got to give a freaking standing ovation to the people who crammed so much awesomeness into 11 freaking episodes. There's nothing else I have to say except WATCH. IT!

3. Code Geass: Lelouch of the RebellionOn August 10th of the year 2010 the Holy Empire of Britannia began a campaign of conquest, its sights set on Japan. Operations were completed in one month thanks to Britannia's deployment of new mobile humanoid armor vehicles dubbed Knightmare Frames. Japan's rights and identity were stripped away, the once proud nation now referred to as Area 11. Its citizens, Elevens, are forced to scratch out a living while the Britannian aristocracy lives comfortably within their settlements. Pockets of resistance appear throughout Area 11, working towards independence for Japan.Lelouch, an exiled Imperial Prince of Britannia posing as a student, finds himself in the heart of the ongoing conflict for the island nation. Through a chance meeting with a mysterious girl named C.C., Lelouch gains his Geass, the power of the king. Now endowed with absolute dominance over any person, Lelouch may finally realize his goal of bringing down Britannia from within!Read more at

Code Geass is one of those animes that'll keep you hooked till the end. Usually I would never (I'm not even kidding) never watch a mecha anime but Code Geass is one exception I'm willing to make. The art? Okay. The characters? Great. The story? GOLD!! It's full of unexpected and thrilling twists and turns that will keep you on the edge of your seat. The plot is unique, i have not watched another anime like it and i don't think i ever will.

4. Death NoteDEATH NOTE ( Desu N to) is a Japaneseseries created by writer and manga artist . The main character is , a high school student who discovers a, the "death note", dropped on Earth by a(a god of death) named . The death note grants its user the ability to kill anyone whose name and face they know, by writing the name in the notebook while picturing their face. The series centers around Light's attempt to create and rule a world "cleansed of evil" asusing the notebook, and the efforts of a detective known asto stop him. Death Note is one of Weekly Sh nen Jump's best-selling manga series of all time, with sales over 26.5 million copies.Read more at

If anyone were to tell me that they had never heard of Death Note, I would ask them if they had been living under a rock. Otaku or not, Death Note is something most people have at least heard of. It has a manga series, an anime series and has spawned 3 live action movies. Unlike Dragonball Evolution which was complete and utter nonsense. Death Note's live action movie was actually ON PAR WITH THE ANIME. If you want a series that makes you feel real suspense, then Death Note is a must watch.

5. GosickGosick was actually a big surprise as I didn't expect it to be as good as it was. It had a great story that wasn't dragged on for too long in this aspect it did even better than Detective Conan. And for once, the main character is a smart and independent female character(HALLELUJAH!!). In it's 24 episodes, it introduced many mysteries, all of which gave hints connected to the main story. It was THE MOST GRIPPING MYSTERY ANIME that I have ever watched.

All these animes are already completed so what are you waiting for? GET WATCHING!!
