On The First Day Of Christmas My True Love Sent To Me: Death Note

Hi everybody!

As promised this is my own personal twist on the countdown to Christmas, bringing you all my favourite Animes in the run up to everyone's favourite time of the year. Just a disclaimer, these are some of MY PERSONAL favourites. There is no set order to these Animes and you may not even agree with the whole idea of'The 12 Days Of Anime' but I thought it was a fun little thing to do... So here we go!

On The First Day Of Christmas My True Love Sent To Me: Death Note

Now for most if not all of the anime lovers out there, Death Note is one of the most well known and established Animes going! If you haven't heard of it you should definitely check this one out because it's something quite remarkable.

Originally a Manga series, this anime follows the life of Light Yagami, a secondary (High school) student who comes across a notebook entitled the 'Death Note' during school. He becomes aware that this notebook grants the user the ability to kill anyone whose name is written in the book, as long as they know the birth name and face of the life they wish to end. As you can guess this then continues in Light's efforts to create a 'perfect world' free of all criminals and the troubles he faces against the law enforcement and a detective named L who hides in plain sight and wishes to stop the killer who calls himself 'Kira'.

Now I won't give too much away because this really is something you need to experience for yourself. However if you're into psychological thrillers including two of the weirdest and quite frankly wonderful protagonists I've ever come across, then I couldn't recommend this more for you. I would suggest that viewers will need to have an open mind about this one though. Like The Hunger Games, some viewers just see it as the senseless killing of others however if you can see past this and actually get engulfed into the plot then I assure you there will be no regrets in watching this series. At a mere 37 episodes all lasting roughly 20 minutes, you really can't say no to giving this one a try as it only gets better and better!

The entire anime box set can be purchased on sites like Amazon, Play and even Ebay but if you would rather try before you buy, have this tasty little link (It's the dubbed rather than subbed version, I just found that I generally preferred this series dubbed! If you prefer the subbed version, Google can become your best friend):

Anyway, thanks for sticking around for the first day guys (Sorry it's a little late, a certain somebody forgot to publish the first couple of days...-Cough-)

I hope you enjoyed this little read and I'll see you all tomorrow!

Hugs and Kisses
