I wouldn't knock the webcomic until you try it. It's currently about 50 chapters ahead of Murata's version. The webcomic version is basically providing story boards for Murata, which funnily enough is what a lot of people thought it was in the first place.
So far, Saitama has lived up to the name.
Murata's version of Onepunch-Man is one of the best looking manga currently in serialization and even though he uses a lot of digital background and shading methods, when he's penciling and inking, he insists on doing it live:
Some interesting facts I have learned about Murata recently is that aside from being an assistant of Takeshi Obata during the Death Note serialization, he also has quite the history in video games. At the age of 12 he entered a Robot Master design contest for the Mega Man series, and won not once, but twice! His sketches of Dust Man and Crystal Man were adapted and the final designs were in both Mega Man 4 and 5, as well as a thanks credit at the end of Mega Man 3. With the reputation he has now and the skills he's crafted since, I would love to see him make a return to the Mega Man series. If Capcom allows anything Mega Man to see the light of day...
THE WAY MURATA DRAWS; IT'S LIKE HE'S AN ANIMATOR. IF SOMEONE WERE EVER TO PROPOSE AN ANIMATED PROJECT BASED ON ONEPUNCH-MAN, THEY SHOULD REALLY RECRUIT MURATA AS THE KEY FRAME ANIMATOR. JUST LOOK AT HIS WORK! IF IT WERE UP TO ME, I WOULD MAKE THIS A SERIES OF OVAS OR EVEN SHORT WEB ANIMATION EPISODES. ANYTHING BUT A TV RUN. IT WILL LIMIT THE AMOUNT OF TIME TO TOUCH UP THE ART, AND ONEPUNCH-MAN DESERVES ALL THE TIME IN THE WORLD TO BE BROUGHT TO PERFECTION.
